Mike joined the financial industry in 1996, giving him 28 years of investment experience. He is a long-time resident of Nanaimo having moved here after university in 1992. Mike brings retail advisory, institutional sales, management and investment experience to his role.

As an Investment Advisor he has worked with one of Canada's largest financial planning firms in addition to two of Canada's largest Mutual Fund companies. It is in this position as a Regional Sales Representative that he had the opportunity to work with some of Canada's best Investment Advisors as well as some of North America's most respected money managers.


Mike offers valuable insight, prospective and experience to his role in helping clients reach their financial goals.

Dominic has been working with iA Private Wealth for the past year, coming from VIU’s Business Program, with a Major in Finance and Minor in Marketing. Originally born in Calgary, Dominic is now proud to call Nanaimo his home since moving here in 2020. His previous experience includes being a client advisor at RBC in 2022/2023, where he gained in-depth knowledge of the financial needs of Canadians and assisted clients with their daily finances.


Dominic’s current role includes working closely with Mike to learn the ins and outs of the business to support clients directly in their investing needs. Having recently completed the Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook, these fulfill the registration requirements for securities licensing in Canada. The last step before officially being recognized as an Associate Investment Advisor, is a mandatory 90-Day Training Course, which is set to be completed this April. His long-term professional goal is to guide Canadians in their wealth management journey, by providing holistic advice for families and individuals. Dominic is an aspiring CFP candidate and a regular contributor to our online Blog, where you can find his articles on valuable investing related topics.


In his free time, you can find him playing volleyball and enjoying time outdoors. He is an avid sports fan and spent all 5 years at University competing on the Varsity Volleyball Team.

Amanda has been working with iA Private Wealth as the office Administrative Assistant for the past 4 years.  Prior to, she worked in a similar role for SunLife Financial for just under a year. She then quickly moved into her role as administrative assistant with iAPW. Amanda’s extensive administrative and client facing background came from 20+ years working retail, most of which as a Department Manager for Thrifty Foods in Nanaimo. Although born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Amanda has spent her professional years here in Nanaimo and remains loyal to the West Coast where she is an active outdoor enthusiast.

Her skills include experience with payroll, administration, communication and leadership. Since her time at iA Private Wealth she has been working towards completing her licensing requirements to work as a Life Insurance Representative while continuing her administrative role with iAPW. Her hope is to complete this goal by 2024 with the intention of developing positive client relations while continuing to serve the clientele of iA Private Wealth with integrity, honesty and maintain a high-level professional experience.
